Schengen Visa application process

The Schengen area has 26 member states – Austria, Belgium, The Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

If you wish to travel to the Schengen Area, you have to apply for a short-term Schengen tourist visa. Depending on the type of your visa, you will be allowed to enter once (single entry) or multiple times (multiple entries), and obtain a stay for no longer than 3 months.

The processing time for your Schengen Visa is approximately 10 – 15 working days.

  • CNIC (Scanned Copy)
  • Passport (Scanned Copy with a minimum of 6 months validity)
  • Employment Letter or Contract
  • Bank Statement (Last 6 months)
  • Salary Slips (Last 6 months)
  • Family Registration Certificate
  • Marriage Registration Certificate (If applicable)
  • Property/Assets Documentation (If any)
  • Travel/Refusal History (If any)

  • Return Air Ticket
  • The visa application form, duly filled and signed
  • Recent passport-size colour photograph taken against a white background with matte-finish without specs and sunglasses (size 35mm x 45mm with 80% face close up)
  • Purpose of the visit and duration of travel mentioned in a letter
  • Income tax returns for the past 3 years
  • Appointment letter and reference letter from your employer if you are employed
  • Marriage Certificate – If the passport carries the maiden name
  • Medical insurance policy

  • Certificate of registration of the company
  • Covering letter on letter head

If the applicant is Student:

**UNIFORM VISA: the holder of a uniform visa is allowed to travel to the States mentioned above for a period not exceeding 90 days during any 180-day period. In order to calculate the period of allowed stay the applicant can consult the short stay calculator available on the website of the Directorate-General for Home Affairs of the European Commission.

VISA WITH LIMITED TERRITORIAL VALIDITY: the holder of a visa with limited territorial validity is allowed to travel to the State(s) indicated on the visa sticker but not to any of the other Schengen States.

  • Embassy fee has to be paid by the customer.
  • Visa approval, denial, and processing delays are determined by Schengen State visa authorities.
  • Overstaying in the Schengen State beyond the duration of your visa will result in fines and detention.
